- Bookings expected to open by July
- Likely to arrive in a single, fully loaded variant
As we wait for JSW-MG Motor India to announce the prices of the Majestor SUV, we have learned that the company is preparing to introduce another new model in the coming months. Set to arrive in August 2026, this will be the IM6 electric SUV coupe.
To be retailed exclusively via the MG Select chain of dealerships, it will be the entry-level offering from this range of showrooms. The bookings of this model are expected to open in July, and it will arrive in the country via the CBU route.
Globally, the MG IM6 is powered by a 100kWh battery pack, offered with single and dual motors in the RWD and AWD guises, respectively. The RWD version produces 401bhp and 500Nm, with a claimed range of 625km, while the AWD version develops 741bhp and 802Nm, with a claimed range of 505km.
Colour options on the 2026 IM6, showcased in India at the 2025 Auto Expo, could include Arctic White, Black Pearl Metallic, Nevis Blue Metallic, and Rembrandt Grey Metallic. Internationally, the car is available in multiple interior themes, although the India-spec version will arrive only with a white option. Key features of the coupe SUV include a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, dual screens on the dashboard, touch functions for the AC controls, front seats with heating and ventilation, panoramic sunroof, reclining rear seats, ADAS suite, four-wheel steering, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless mobile charger.
